I was looking for a good quote to go along with this picture, and stumbled upon this one:

"Babies are such a nice way to start people."

Thought it fit quite well :)

The next quote down on that same site said, "A two-year-old is kind of like having a blender, but you don't have a top for it." Very true, Mr. Seinfeld, very true :)

I'm working on a post about Charlotte's party. Promise. But there are 59 pictures to upload, and they go soooo sloooooow on Blogger, so it might be a day or two before it gets done! In the meantime, here is a picture that those of you who know me would probably never suspect...

The One Where Charlotte is Officially a Toddler!

My sweet girl is 1 today. Her party isn't until Sunday, and I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures from that. For now, though, here are some from today. Michael built her a water table, and she and Maya LOVE it. They played with it for over an hour, which is a long time for a toddler!

We also spent some time at the library play room:

And we have gone to 2 different fireworks shows. I have been amazed at how much Charlotte likes them! I thought she would be afraid, but she just sits there with her eyes wide and her mouth agape, giggling every once in a while. So cute :) Here is Charlotte in her red, white and blue (sporting a little mohawk, even)!
