Somehow this year I convinced Michael that it would be a good idea to train for and run a 5K. We had 5 weeks to train. And the race was in late November (on Thanksgiving day, actually). Oh, and Michael has never been (nor will he ever be) a runner. But ya'll ~ he ran the whole thing! In our training, which was done almost entirely on treadmills at the gym, he got up to 1.25 miles. A 5K is 3.1 miles, so we had planned on staying together in the beginning until he decided to take a break, and then I would keep going. But he didn't take a break! He kept running and running until the end :D According to him, this was an error as he just misjudged the landmarks and thought he was almost done for pretty much the entire second half of the trek :P But either way, he did AWESOME! I'm so impressed and so proud of my hubby :D
(all pictures were taken with Michael's camera phone, as it was rainy and gross and I didn't think bringing my camera was the best idea ever :))
